Seven Forty-Seven

I watched a short documentary once that featured five children from around the world getting ready to attend religious services with their families. I actually watch it often. It’s such a beautiful thing to be reminded that our lives aren’t as different as we believe they are. Click here so you can watch it too!

I’ve written before about my love of evening routine sessions. There’s always this feeling of intimacy in a documentary session, and when my clients are asked to be vulnerable in sharing their real moments with me, beautiful things happen. The realization that we’re all in this together happens at nearly every session. I’ve photographed countless families this way, yet there is something so similar about each of their sessions. Much like the video above, these sessions allow us to see the many threads that stitch us together.”
