I am a wife and mama to two little miracles from Morgantown, West Virginia. I've had a passion for photography my entire life, but when I had my daughter three years ago, I felt a deep urge to capture her every move. Her tiny baby feet and hands were changing every day, and I wanted a way that I could hold on to those memories forever. Photography is a gift that I provide my family with. I want my children to have authentic documentation of their childhood. I, wholeheartedly, believe that photography is an heirloom. I am living my dream by getting to know other families and telling their story through a series of photographs. I love to learn about, and document, what you love about your family. Babies change fast. The beautiful chaos of life is something you'll want to remember the rest of your life. Helping other families provide an heirloom for their children is my life's mission.

I am a wife and mama to two little miracles from Morgantown, West Virginia. I’ve had a passion for photography my entire life, but when I had my daughter, I felt a deep urge to capture her every move. Her tiny baby feet and hands were changing every day, and I wanted a way that I could hold on to those memories forever. Photography is a gift that I provide my family with. I am living my dream by getting to know other families and telling their story through a series of photographs. I love to learn about, and document, what you love about your family. Babies change fast. The beautiful chaos of life  is something you’ll want to remember the rest of your life. Helping other families provide an heirloom for their children is my life’s mission.

Why Year In the Life - High School Seniors Paren Why Year In the Life - High School Seniors

Parents often think about a package of photos for babies and toddlers as they grow and reach milestones, but it's rare, outside of senior portraits, to think about the growth and milestones that happen during a teenagers senior year of high school. They're driving, they may have a job, and they're applying to college or trade school. They'll experience prom and senior night and graduation. Documenting the year as it unfolds gives parents lasting images to hold onto their high school senior's last bits of childhood.

Here's what Rebecca says about their YITL-
"We used Lauren for some of my daughter’s senior pictures. We booked a Year in the Life package with her, so we got several sessions spread through the year.

I could not be more happy with the images we received. This album will forever be a time capsule of a formative year in the life of this kid we love so much.

In addition to fabulous documentary images, Lauren was easy to work with. She was understand of our crazy senior year schedule, and enjoyable to have around on our random days. She made our kid feel so at ease, which really led to some amazing and natural images."

If you're thinking about joining our YITL family for 2024, visit the link in my profile to add your name to the list of interested families. I cannot wait to meet you!

I think a lot about lasts. Like the last time you I think a lot about lasts. Like the last time you held your child. Or the last time you'll tuck them in. Recently, I read something about the last day your nuclear family all live in the same house, and it hit me hard. Photos are a good remedy for that.
I've been holding onto these for a little while no I've been holding onto these for a little while now, because I wanted @asyouareboudoir to get to share them first. This unexpected home birth will forever be one of my favorite memories in my own life. Labor and delivery is such a beautiful thing, and I never take for granted the times I've been around to document such an incredible event.
One of the best parts of hiring a documentary fami One of the best parts of hiring a documentary family photographer is that there is zero need for decision fatigue - you don't have to figure out what to wear, and you don't have to plan something special for your family to do. Just get dressed like always and have me over for a regular part of your day. OR schedule your session to last all day, and we'll document it all.

Booking a session is easy, too! Just click the link in my bio and select the option that lets you schedule your session.

I love talking about what I do, so if you're feeling nervous about booking and have questions first, feel free to reach out!

Why Year In the Life (Time) As cliche as it sound Why Year In the Life (Time)

As cliche as it sounds, the days are long, and the years are short.

I'm someone who notices the passage of time and feels it in the pit of my stomach. I grasp the grains of sand so tightly, and they slip through regardless. I find it difficult to live in the present sometimes as I find myself reminiscing about the past and thinking about how today will affect the future of my children. And all I really have are photos - photos that tie us to the past and I know will be talked about in the future. Their changing features and hobbies. Their style and their bedrooms. It's all documented - a visual representation of their timelines.

My plan is to add 10-15 new families to our growing list of YITL families, and I want you to be included. Use the link in my bio to add yourself to the list so I can email you in December when it's time to sign up!
