I am a wife and mama to two little miracles from Morgantown, West Virginia. I've had a passion for photography my entire life, but when I had my daughter three years ago, I felt a deep urge to capture her every move. Her tiny baby feet and hands were changing every day, and I wanted a way that I could hold on to those memories forever. Photography is a gift that I provide my family with. I want my children to have authentic documentation of their childhood. I, wholeheartedly, believe that photography is an heirloom. I am living my dream by getting to know other families and telling their story through a series of photographs. I love to learn about, and document, what you love about your family. Babies change fast. The beautiful chaos of life is something you'll want to remember the rest of your life. Helping other families provide an heirloom for their children is my life's mission.

Hour long docu sessions may not seem like enough t Hour long docu sessions may not seem like enough time, but when you have a session every month, it's the perfect amount of time to get a snippet of your family's life and all the details that make your kids who they are at that moment in time. I don't offer hour long sessions to anyone outside of monthly YITL clients because they really aren't enough time if I only see you a couple of times a year, but when you're yearbook is full of 12 months of growth, they work out just fine.
My October calendar is booking up fast, and Decemb My October calendar is booking up fast, and December is the second busiest month for me. If you would like a session this year (especially if it's something you want to try before joining YITL) get on my calendar ASAP!
Sometimes (read: a lot of times), bedtime looks li Sometimes (read: a lot of times), bedtime looks like this. I have two kids. Bedtime in our house has always been a thing. Non-stop talking, big emotions, silliness, getting out of bed 5 billion times, special routines, etc, make it something I both cherish and dread. But I always try to remember that it won't always be this way. On nights Piper wants to tell me every single thing she's ever learned or Parker asks me to start our secret handshake over for the 10th time, I remind myself that one day they'll be teenagers who don't want me in their rooms. So, if bedtime is a *thing* in your house too, let's record it all before they're too old to care.

Why Year In the Life - High School Seniors Paren Why Year In the Life - High School Seniors

Parents often think about a package of photos for babies and toddlers as they grow and reach milestones, but it's rare, outside of senior portraits, to think about the growth and milestones that happen during a teenagers senior year of high school. They're driving, they may have a job, and they're applying to college or trade school. They'll experience prom and senior night and graduation. Documenting the year as it unfolds gives parents lasting images to hold onto their high school senior's last bits of childhood.

Here's what Rebecca says about their YITL-
"We used Lauren for some of my daughter’s senior pictures. We booked a Year in the Life package with her, so we got several sessions spread through the year.

I could not be more happy with the images we received. This album will forever be a time capsule of a formative year in the life of this kid we love so much.

In addition to fabulous documentary images, Lauren was easy to work with. She was understand of our crazy senior year schedule, and enjoyable to have around on our random days. She made our kid feel so at ease, which really led to some amazing and natural images."

I think a lot about lasts. Like the last time you I think a lot about lasts. Like the last time you held your child. Or the last time you'll tuck them in. Recently, I read something about the last day your nuclear family all live in the same house, and it hit me hard. Photos are a good remedy for that.
I've been holding onto these for a little while no I've been holding onto these for a little while now, because I wanted @asyouareboudoir to get to share them first. This unexpected home birth will forever be one of my favorite memories in my own life. Labor and delivery is such a beautiful thing, and I never take for granted the times I've been around to document such an incredible event.
One of the best parts of hiring a documentary fami One of the best parts of hiring a documentary family photographer is that there is zero need for decision fatigue - you don't have to figure out what to wear, and you don't have to plan something special for your family to do. Just get dressed like always and have me over for a regular part of your day. OR schedule your session to last all day, and we'll document it all.

Booking a session is easy, too! Just click the link in my bio and select the option that lets you schedule your session.

I love talking about what I do, so if you're feeling nervous about booking and have questions first, feel free to reach out!
