I was worried about my lack of showing up this year before I started to compile my self portraits. Self portraiture has been an outlet for me for 4 years now, but the idea of putting myself in front of the lens seemed overwhelming to me this year. I just didn’t feel whole enough to be present in a photo or to take the time to even make one. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this group of images in front of me. I was there.
