It’s been nearly a year now. My kids and I have been living, learning, and working at home since March of last year. My time running a business and creating usually looks a lot like sitting down to work and standing up 15 seconds later to help someone in the bathroom, break up a fight, or help with an assignment. It’s frustrating, but at the very depth of who I am, I really love this time with them. I love that Parker and I have co-working sessions like this one. I love our makeshift classroom in the basement. I love our weekly walks and exercise breaks. We’re living through something really abnormal and difficult, but I am thankful for the time.
This is part of ARTIFACT MOTHERHOOD – a project shared with other female artists who are documenting our journeys as mothers and creating memories for our children through our photographs and words.Go next to the wonderful artist Hollie to read her post in our blog circle.’
As I am typing this my I have a two year old is in my lap trying to put Chapstick on my face…/ a familiar scene. I love how you bring such positivity to your situation. I too get frustrated… but little slices of gratitude, like you have shared give so much hope.
It’s a blessing to see the positives through the difficulties <3
