A move across the country and the news of a new addition have certainly been a lot to handle in such a short amount of time, but this family has handled the change with smiles on their faces and a song in their heart.
This season has been a whirlwind. The last 6 months of our life has been full of change and no sense of normal. I know this season is going to by so fast and I don’t want to forget anything about these precious days and moments, from early morning snuggles with our toddler, reading books, building train tracks, making cookies together, and even sitting for what feels like hours while my toddler excitedly tries to go potty. Every moment is so precious. I have to remind myself not to rush through the most important little moments and take more time to be in the moment.
I have loved getting to know the Gum family through our email communication and some pre session questionnaires that I sent out, and I was so excited to meet them and tell their story yesterday. Maternity is about so much more than a growing bump, and I wanted to help this mama remember these little moments that are defining her role as a mother of two.
