Being in the same space as another creative while they work their magic is the most incredible feeling. Listening to Emily talk about how much she loves what she does just made me fall even more in love with the work that I do.
Emily is a mother, wife, and the face behind the brand Coco and June. I met her about six months ago when it seemed like everyone I knew was wearing Coco and June t-shirts. She had a booth at a local retail market, and I just had to get my hands on one of her shirts. I’d never met her before, but we knew of each other. Seeing her for the first time was like seeing an old friend. As soon as she realized who I was she gave me the biggest, most welcoming hug. She signs her emails with “peace & xo,” and her smile lights up a room, especially when she’s talking about her business.
She reached out to me about a month ago about documenting her while she created some new pantings, and I couldn’t say yes fast enough.
I want to convey my passion for what I do. I want people to see how deeply it fills my soul when I create a painting that they display in their home and share it with their family.
She was in her element today, and her passion for her work definitely shines through. This girl is going places, and I am so excited to be a part of that journey.
