Rachel and PJ are my dream couple. I’m not a typical wedding and engagement photographer. Because of this, I don’t shoot many wedding or engagement sessions, but Rachel and PJ are different. They’re hosting their wedding and reception in their backyard in 2 weeks, their guests are going to be camping out with them, and there will be a taco bar and yard games. Laid back, backyard weddings are my jam. When we planned their engagement session, I knew it would be one to remember. They’re adventurous and love to be outdoors, so they decided that meeting at one of their favorite spots to play with the dogs would be the perfect way to tell their story. The weather was perfect, the water was warm, we talked and laughed the whole time, and I think PJ even forgot how awkward having his picture taken was. I am so excited to celebrate with them in 18 days!
