and i am crying! i was just thinking about how i don’t have any of those firsts left. there are others to come as my youngest enters the second decade of her life but it is those little moments when they are little that we long for for years to come. hold tight mama. this is such a beautiful moment and i loved your words.
This is such a beautiful post and one that I think every mother will feel deeply, you expressed your thoughts so beautifully❤ motherhood is such a bittersweet journey, isn’t it?! Xx
Oh Lauren, this image is so great, such a great angle. And this post is so beautifully written, I love the bit saying from womb to chest to floor as he starts crawling. You’re right it’s like as soon as they are born they are fighting for their own identity and autonomy. It’s so bittersweet as they grown older. Heart aching and breaking. x
I just LOVE this! Such a bittersweet and relatable season all mothers go through at one point or another. I’ve always found myself thinking, motherhood is one slow process of learning how to “let go” of our children.
You are doing the job just right then, Lauren. I love this Peter Pan like shadows, dream-like, couple with the feet on the ground and in the real of it.
