“This is the start of your sweet little story. The part where your page meets mine. No matter where your tale takes you tomorrow, our story will always read love.”
I met the newest member of the Kipp family this afternoon, Mr. Dawson Scott Kipp.
He was born the evening of Sunday, July 3rd and weighed in at 8lbs 2 oz. He is 21.5 inches long.
There are so many things that draw me to photography. It is my passion. It calms me. It makes me happy. Telling a story through a series of emotional images makes my heart skip a beat. I see the world a little differently because of these things. I’ve never photographed a baby this new (besides my own). But this experience, from an outsider looking in, was magical. The world is a beautiful place. Watching a family interact and love on each other makes me smile so big my cheeks hurt.
The Kipps have taken on this new journey with beauty and grace. Yes, welcoming a newborn into a family is a little bit of a chaotic experience. I’m sure being in a sleep deprived state, caring for a newborn, and chasing a toddler around the house will not be easy by any means, but Carrie and David are calm and smitten.
His sister, Addison, isn’t sure how she feels about this new addition yet, though
“I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.” -Vincent Van Gogh)
This made me all teary eyed. Probably because I have known Dawson’s sweet Mama since she was born. Such a sweet sweet adorable family! Continuing to pray for you Carrie and David!! Love seeing your kiddos grow up even if it is mostly in pictures,,,which sure does tell a beautiful story just as Lauren Webster has said.
